Executive producers for this film are Brown, Seldon Youn, and Co-executive producer, Matt Mazer Co-producers Terry L. Noss, Thomas J. Tobin and Directed by Rich. Screenplay do by Brian Nissen; news by Rich, Nissen. Original score is Lex de Azevedo; songs by David Zippel, Azevedo; Technicolor prints.
The news has all the requisite sprite tale trappings, as a power and queen decide to unite their separate kingdoms finished a stag marriage, bringing their reluctant kids together each season hoping they’ll start in love.
On the plus side, the animation is fluid and fast, the layouts and backdrops lush and detailed. Lex de Azevedo’s reason is also sumptuous and generates digit memorable song, the lay “Far longer Than Forever.”
Still, an old adage says that such movies are only as good as their villain, and despite Palance’s sinister mutterings, Rothbart is mostly an edentate absentee whose efforts at dark comedy consistently start flat. That contributes to the lack of suspense, and even with the well-cast voices (particularly Cleese) the case design proves generally uninspired.
In the aforementioned vein, Rich and company hit the physical elements of a big-budget animated feature down but can’t displace the material to that magical level that enthralls adults as well as children.
